Competitions
Over the years, after taking classes at the Ecole du Ski Français, I managed to pass my different tests in ski jump, giant slalom, downhill and slalom. I still enjoy taking these tests, especially in slalom, my favourite discipline, where I try to compete with my ski instructors, some of which who are former members of the French national ski team.

Ski d’Or
The most important competition of the year, the Ski d’Or, usually occurs in April, and it attracts skiers from all over France. Over a weekend, boys and girls from 14 to 35 years old compete individually and in teams, representing the station they come from. I have participated to it nine years, finished several times on the podium individually, and helped Courchevel win seven years in a row, from 1998 to 2004.

Some of my best memories are related to these weekends, as we push back our limits in this competitive environment, and we learn to know our friends better, especially when celebrating victories.

Millionaires’ Cup
The Millionaires’ Cup has been taking place in Courchevel since 2004. It is open to, as it claims, “millionaires or to-be millionaires”. It takes place in January and gathers many people during a full day of competition and celebration. The prizes awarded are very important, as one would expect for a Millionaires’ Cup.
